- Over the years we have learned that no matter how many engines you have built and ready to go it is never what someone wants for their application. So here at Crossroads Speed Equipment we have decided to build mostly Custom engines. There are simply too many block, piston, cam, and head combinations available today to try and stock more than a few common street and performance engines. By doing this, you the valued customer, get the engine you have always dreamed of, not some off the shelf engine another shop has lying around collecting dust. Over our 30 years we have built engines for about every combination you can think of from SCCA, Dirt Track, Circle Track, Monster Trucks, Drag Racing, Marine, Street Rod and Muscle cars.

- Making in excess of 400HP this engine is a great choice for your Street Rod, Muscle Car, or Weekend Warrior.
- Short block assembled with a premium 10/10 NF(Nodular Forged) crank, .060 over KB Hyperutectic 10.25 to 1 pistons, resized connecting rods w/Pioneer rod bolts, and a hi volume oil pump. The cam is a Comp Cams Xtreme Energy with .510 lift and 296 Dur. with Scorpion high acicular carbide race lifters. The heads are GM with swirl polished 2.02 and 1.60 valves. The oil pan is a Mr Gasket polished aluminum “retro” street rod pan and with the vintage Edelbrock Tarantula intake it has both “old style” looks and incredible throttle response and power. An Accel HEI Distributor with an Accel Super Coil, chrome valve covers and a Performance Products harmonic balancer round out the package.
